ABOUT US

History

Before the tragic incidence of September 11, 2001, our beloved country Afghanistan had suffered noticeably from every aspect. The education system and schools were destroyed due to decades of civil and external wars brought to the innocent Afghan people. Among many other elements of life for normal existence, the schools and the educational system were totally destroyed. After September 11, 2001 and especially after the establishment of the transitional government in Afghanistan, the hope for improvement was re-lighted in the hearts of Afghans again. The eyes and the hopes of our country men, women, and children are directed and concentrated towards their Brothers, and Sisters living abroad, for assistance to survive.

From the President

Apparently because of my extensive training and airlines engineering background, it was around February 2002, when I received a telephone call from the newly appointed president of Ariana Afghan Airlines, direly requesting me to assist them in purchasing an aircraft on a priority basis. This was because Ariana Afghan Airlines was almost shut down for quite sometimes. To make the long story short, I had purchased a retired Boeing 727-200 aircraft from American Airlines at the price of US $ 875 000. The aircraft was out of service and parked at Mojave Desert in California. With the undivided attention, patriotic attitude and assistance of some of Ariana former employees, who are living in California, we were able to inspect and supervise the necessary maintenance services, modifications, interior refurbishment, exterior and interior painting, of the aircraft at Mojave airport . Our team performed an outstanding job in completing the aircraft and making it ready for flight to Kabul. I have to note here that all of the above team members accomplished this task at pro bono and we paid the transportation and other expenses from our own pocket. The aircraft departed Mojave Airport to Kabul with a stop at Dubai on April 29, 2004. Upon arrival of this aircraft in Kabul, Ariana Afghan Airlines become operational again.

The successful completion of the above project and its moral rewards were so great and influential, which opened our mines and hearts to endeavor and search for other means and ways to participate in the reconstruction of our beloved country Afghanistan.

Sincerely,

Engineer Abdul Ahad Mansoori
